A Wildfire Awareness Week Clinic
San Martin’s Horsemen’s Association is offering a
preparedness clinic on May 1st, 2021
Why:
• Will your horse walk past a fire engine?
• Is your barn fire ready for wildfire?
• Do you have an EVAC plan?
• Do you have defensible space?
WHAT: Fire engine with lights going, a fire hose laid out and firefighters in full gear. You will have the
opportunity to de-sensitize your horse and learn how you can increase your odds in the event of a fire.
WHO: San Martin Horsemen’s Association, CALFIRE, South Santa Clara County Fire District, Santa Clara
County FireSafe Council
WHEN: Saturday May 1st 10:00-3:00pm
