We had another great turnout for our June meeting! Everyone enjoyed Carolyn Tucker’s talk on the county’s new land acquisitions. Many questions were asked when reviewing the maps she brought which sparked some good discussions. Thank you Carolyn! We are truly blessed living in an area with so many great choices for riding our horses. We need to stay involved, both as a club and as individuals, to keep these trails well maintained and accessible and to strive to open new areas to ride our horses.
As is customary, there will be no general meeting in July. Most of you are off vacationing and hopefully having fun spending time with your family and your horses. Don’t forget to come down to the 4th of July parade in Morgan Hill. You can ride in our float or just support your club with a good cheering section. Let’s hope Steve and his group can bring home another first place for SMHA!
Also, don’t forget to register and participate in our Jack Brooks campout August 8th through 15th. This year’s date should allow for more of the younger crowd to attend as it doesn’t conflict with back to school dates. Hope to see everyone there! We will have a quick get together at Jack Brooks for our August meeting so there will be no general meeting at the Lions Club for August. We will get back on track with our next regular meeting on September 9th at the Lions in San Martin. Watch your August Eventer for details on that meeting. Remember, bring a friend! We are still striving to build our club membership! Have you brought a new member to the club yet?
Here’s wishing everyone a fun and safe summer filled with lots of riding and other things you love. Enjoy!
