Is it hot enough for everyone? Well, the weather was perfect for those of us who enjoyed the week’s campout at Jack Brook this year. Between the foggy mornings, mild days and cool nights, we couldn’t have ordered better weather! There were 19 riders and a few extra support campers that participated this year. No one wanted the week to end. Thanks to all who attended and supported the club!
Make sure to mark your calendars for the next few upcoming events starting with our “Ask a Vet” general meeting on Sept 8th. Bring your questions and Dr. Angel Fletcher will be there with the answers! We will be providing some hearty salads and bread for a nominal fee of $7.00. Don’t miss this great opportunity to increase your horse knowledge while enjoying a good meal!
Next on the calendar is our Ranch Trail Playday on Sept 16th. Be at Bloomquist Arena at 9:00am to register, practice 10:00am-12:00noon and the fun competition starts at 1:00pm. We have some new obstacles this year. I’m sure both you and your horse will love them! Come help your horse conquer all the “horse eater” obstacles and test your skills. Maybe in the process, you’ll both learn something fun and new. Please attend this exciting event. Bring lots of friends too and help support your club.
After the playday, start pulling your costume together for our October 28th Halloween Poker ride. This is perhaps our last chance to bring in a few dollars for the club and its always a really fun day full of laughs and surprises for all. More details to follow on this event as the date nears.
In closing, I’ll leave you with this quote of the week:
