San Mateo County –Jack Brook in Sam MacDonald Park is only 60 miles from the Bay Area. The horse camp, reserved by SMHA  for members, has all the amenities of a hotel YET all the privacy and wilderness once can ask for. This is one of the SMHA clubs most fun and worthwhile trip of the year.

Henry Coe State Park Backcountry Weekend –  Contact Henry Coe State Park Orestimba.html for your application/reservation information. Right in our own backyard in Santa Clara County.  This is a special event to see a part of California that is not regularly open to the public.

Lake San Antonio, North Shore has paddocks, 17 miles of trails, hot showers and is part of the Montery County Parks System.

Lake County is only 2 hours or less from many Bay Area communities. There two overnight horse camps accessing Lake County Trails, a Regional Trails system in the works, and another future horse camp. Highland Springs Recreation Area is 3200 acres with about 30 miles of trails, all maintained by volunteer equestrians.
